These strange times

Like everyone else, we've been making the most of these strange times. All things considered, we're doing pretty well. And with Stage 2 measures for reopening Ontario being put into place, at least in these parts, maybe our patience is about to be rewarded.

As we've been reporting, we're getting lots done via Zoom with our committee and business meetings. We're also looking forward to CohoCan's cross-country chat line, being held the third Thursday of each month. Anyone interested in cohousing is welcome to take part - click here to find out more.

We also continue to keep our community active and engaged with our regular online dinner parties and KCC Chat Lines. As always, we invite you to join us. Connecting with people and making them feel welcome is who we are.

As we make progress, it's gratifying to see how many other new cohousing communities are thriving. The monthly newsletter from our consultant, Katie McCamant, reports that her clients in two communities have moved into their new homes, while two more have passed major milestones.

Though our in-person orientations are still on hold, we are holding regular Zoom information sessions. We're encouraged by the number of inquiries we're getting about them, despite the pandemic.

If you would like to sit in on an info session, or join us for our chatlines or virtual dinner parties, drop us a line at info@kawarthacommons.ca.

Meanwhile, be good to each other!
